Touki Chess Official Rules
Rules for the free-entry Touki Chess skill game and its project-sponsored TOUKI prize.

1. Free entry and balance eligibility
Touki Chess is a free-entry skill game. A wallet must hold at least 5 TOUKI when signing in and entering matchmaking, but no TOUKI is transferred, reserved, locked, wagered, or deducted from either player.
The 5 TOUKI balance requirement is an eligibility condition only. It is not an entry fee, stake, purchase, or promise that TOUKI has any particular value.
2. Standard chess format
Two eligible wallets are paired through random matchmaking and play standard chess on an 8-by-8 board. White moves first. The server enforces legal piece movement, check, checkmate, castling rights, en passant, and promotion to a queen, rook, bishop, or knight.
A checkmate is the only board win. The game automatically draws by stalemate, threefold repetition, the fifty-move rule, insufficient mating material, or another standard draw state recognized by the rules engine. The server is the authoritative game record.
3. Move timer and incomplete games
Each turn has the time shown in the game interface. If the timer expires, the other player receives a timeout result. A player may also resign.
Only a server-verified checkmate qualifies for the sponsored prize. Draws, resignations, timeouts, abandoned games, cancelled searches, and incomplete games receive no prize.
4. Sponsored prize and limits
For an eligible completed checkmate, the project sends 10 TOUKI from a separately configured Chess prize wallet to the winning wallet. Players do not fund the prize.
Each wallet may complete one sponsored Chess match per UTC day. The project may publish and enforce a daily prize-pool limit. Matchmaking closes when the daily pool is complete or the prize wallet is unavailable. Network confirmation can be delayed by outages or congestion.
5. Eligibility and legal restrictions
Participants must be at least 18 years old, legally permitted to participate where they live, and not located in a prohibited jurisdiction. A participant is responsible for determining whether a free-entry digital-asset skill contest is lawful in the participant's jurisdiction and for any tax reporting.

It is not a registered legal entity and does not claim authorization, licensing, endorsement, or approval from a financial or digital-asset regulator. 6. Fair play and disqualification
Bots, chess engines or outside move assistance, multiple-wallet evasion, collusion, deliberately arranged results, exploiting defects, denial-of-service activity, impersonation, and attempts to obtain duplicate prizes are prohibited.
The project may pause a payout for documented security or abuse review and may disqualify activity supported by objective evidence. A technical failure does not authorize the project to invent, alter, or conceal a game result.
7. Wallets, records, and changes
Players sign a readable MetaMask message to create a temporary game session. The signature does not authorize a transaction. Wallet addresses, moves, results, participation dates, and prize transaction hashes may be retained for operation, transparency, and abuse prevention.
Material rule changes apply only after publication with a new rules version. A game already matched remains governed by the rules version accepted at sign-in unless continuing would be unlawful or technically unsafe.
